Library Public Services Manager -- Silver City Public Library -- Silver City, NM
The Town of Silver City, New Mexico seeks an individual with professional library experience for the position of Library Public Services Manager. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating and facilitating all aspects of public services including adult services, periodicals, reference, reader's advisories, circulation, and reserves. The Public Services Manager assists in collection development and supervises library clerks, technicians, student workers and volunteers as assigned.
Prospective candidates must have library supervisory experience and customer service experience. Candidates should be able to work in a collaborative and creative team environment. Knowledge of library procedures and systems, technology, and trends in library programming and services are necessary. A bachelor's degree is required, and Masters of Library Science degree or enrollment in a Masters of Library Science program is preferred.
